The Davis Webb era in New York, and his NFL career as a whole, seems to be over, as NFL insider Adam Schefter reports that Webb is set to be named as the Denver Broncos’ new quarterbacks coach.

Webb, 28, is six years younger than Denver QB Russell Wilson, which will be an interesting dynamic, but Webb has long been seen as a future NFL coach – in fact, he was reportedly offered the Bills’ QB coach job prior to last season before deciding to play one more year and signing with the Giants.
Week 18 of this season marked Webb’s first extended NFL action, as the 2017 third-round pick had played just two plays – both kneeldowns on the final drive of a blowout Bills win in 2021 – before starting the Giants’ finale and throwing for 168 yards and a touchdown in what will apparently be his first and only NFL start.
