Sal expects Giants to turn things around and 'stabilize' season

The Giants currently have the feel of one of the worst teams in the league, but Sal expects things to start turning around soon, assuming the likes of Andrew Thomas and Saquon Barkley make their way back.

“There was a reason why I believed in the Giants coming into the year,” Sal said. “I know right now it feels like they’re one of the worst teams in football, if not the worst. I don’t believe that’s going to be the case…I believe they’re gonna stabilize here. Not Sunday night, but after that, when the schedule does soften and guys start to come back, I trust Daboll, I trust Daniel jones, and I believe this team will be a respectable football team the rest of the way.

“Even in the game against Miami, didn’t you feel early on like the Giants were moving the football better? That gave me a little bit of confidence. Now, the results aren’t there…the ineptitude is off the charts. However, I see enough signs to think that they can get back to respectability.”

Sal isn’t expecting what he did before the season started, but he doesn’t see the Giants looking nearly as bad as they have through the first quarter of the season by the time the season is over.

“They will level out,” Sal said. “This is not the worst team in the NFL. I think you can look at this team and see them winning six games, which, by the way, at this point, would be an accomplishment.”
