Tommy DeVito's father did not seem happy with Giants play call

Tom DeVito, the father of current Giants starting quarterback Tommy DeVito, did not seem happy with a fourth-down play call from Brian Daboll and company during Big Blue’s latest blowout loss at the hands of the rival Cowboys.

The Giants ran it up the middle with Saquon Barkley on 4th-and-2, deep in Dallas territory, and Barkley was stuffed for no gain. Looking up in frustrated disbelief at the big screen at AT&T Stadium, Tom was seen on the FOX broadcast appearing to say, with a hand in the air, “That’s your 4th-and-3 play?”

The Giants haven’t opened up the playbook with DeVito, a practice squad quarterback before Tyrod Taylor went down with a ribs injury and Daniel Jones was lost for the season with a torn ACL. Plus, the offensive line has been brutally banged up, and top receiving target Darren Waller is out. Add it all up, and it’s not a good mix for a third-string quarterback to try and move the offense through the air.

DeVito finished with two passing touchdowns, one interception, and 86 yards through the air in the 49-17 loss. He attempted 27 throws on the day.
