Logan Ryan vs. Daniel Jones 1-on-1 on the basketball court - who ya got?

Apparently, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has been touting his prowess not on the gridiron, but on the hardwood – claiming he’d be one of the best basketball players on the Big Blue roster.

“I've heard that Daniel Jones is pretty good at basketball. I haven't seen him play yet, but I heard he was pretty good,” Ryan’s defensive backfield mate, cornerback James Bradberry, said Sunday.

Of course, Bradberry admitted he’s never seen Ryan on the court, so, “pretty good” could be pretty relative.

“I haven't seen Logan play. I haven't seen Logan even shoot a paper ball or anything, so I don't know if he's good at basketball or not,” Bradberry smiled. “I've never seen either of them play basketball, but I’ve heard Daniel is pretty good.”

Jones, when asked, simply said “I like my chances against Logan and a lot of those guys,” but Ryan thinks he can hold his own.

“There’s some stuff I don’t know he has – he talks about he's a good basketball player. I know he's hearing me right now, we still haven't lined it up on the court,” Ryan said.

That said, the corner listed at 5-foot-11, 195 pounds knows he’s at a disadvantage baseline against a 6-foot-5, 230-pound QB with an athletic pedigree.

“I know his brother plays at Duke, that's better than where my brother plays. My brother's on the couch,” Ryan smiled.

Indeed, Daniel’s younger brother, Bates Jones, is a graduate transfer on Mike Krzyzewski at Duke after four years at Davidson, where he played in 96 games.

Duke if of course Daniel’s alma mater also, and beyond that, the Jones’ two sisters are also top Division I athletes: Ruthie is currently a goalkeeper on the Duke women's soccer team, while Becca was a four-year letter winner in field hockey at Davidson.

Ryan’s older brother has an engineering degree from Drexel, though, so perhaps he could build Logan something to help even the odds?
