Blues goalie Jordan Binnington clearly wasn’t happy with himself after allowing four goals in the second period to the red-hot Islanders on Thursday night, and he tried to take his frustration out on Ilya Sorokin after the period ended.
As the two teams crossed paths on their way to their respective locker rooms, with New York holding a 4-1 lead, Binnington, in clearly intentional fashion, threw a shoulder into the Islanders goaltender as the two passed each other, then kept making his way off the ice.
Sorokin simply turned towards Binnington and laughed.
It clearly didn’t have any effect on Sorokin and the Islanders, who cruised to a 5-2 victory to stay red hot with a fifth straight win.
