Avery Williamson says goodbye to New York on social media

WFAN’s Benigno & Roberts Show is gonna need a fill-in Jet for their final weekly Gang Green hit, because Avery Williamson is officially headed to Pittsburgh…and it seems he couldn’t be happier.

Before Sunday, Williamson hadn’t sent a non-sponsored Tweet in three weeks – his last wishing Le’Veon Bell good luck in KC – before Tweeting this upon learning of his trade to the Steelers:

Avery then doubled down on Instagram, posting this…and notice how three of the more prominent comments are from two current Steelers, running back Benny Snell Jr. and linebacker Bud Dupree, and former Jets teammate (and now Seahawk) Jamal Adams – whom Williamson said he ‘hopes to see in the Super Bowl.’

Considering the Steelers are the NFL’s last undefeated team at 7-0 and Seattle has the NFC’s best record at 6-1, perhaps that is closer to reality than fantasy?
