Joe Benigno will have a front row seat behind the Jets sideline when Gang Green hosts the Chiefs on Sunday night, and Boomer and Gio have their concerns about Joe losing his cool if the game gets out of hand.
“Within shouting distance of the team…the players can hear the fans from those seats,” Gio said. “It’s that close. It’s one of those moments where things can get super ugly.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a Malice at the Palace situation with Joe Benigno.”
Joe already texts Robert Saleh his frustrations after games, but if he can just shout it to him as the game is unfolding? Or at the players? That has Gio concerned.
“He would probably regret it if he did. My point is, sometimes, animals, snap, and they go savage,” Gio said. “Joe, regardless of his environment or the guests, he can go savage, because it’s the Jets.
“It’s Joe Benigno. Joe Benigno and the Jets. He’s not gonna care who is around him. If things go south, he’s gonna start screaming like crazy at the team.”
