Keith McPherson mentioned on his show that the Jets need to do “everything in their power” to get Davante Adams before Tuesday’s trade deadline, and BT continued that momentum hours later.
BT opened the BT and Sal show by declaring that Joe Douglas should get on the phone with the Raiders and offer the Jets’ first-round pick for Vegas’ star receiver.
The Jets don't control their first-round pick this year due to the Aaron Rodgers trade, but BT wouldn't hesitate to give up Gang Green's first in 2025.
“You can have my first-round pick,” BT said. “I want Davante Adams. All in.
Go for it.”
BT hasn’t hid his lack of faith in Gang Green’s receiving core, outside of Garrett Wilson, and with a cloudy AFC outlook in terms of a clear favorite, BT says the time is now to go all in and push for a surprising Super Bowl appearance.
“It’s also a huge opportunity. The Chiefs, they look vulnerable,” BT said. “The Bills don’t appear to be the same team. Miami is very powerful, but let’s see when it gets a little chilly…there’s a window here for the Jets to not only really go all in and steal a Super Bowl appearance…I think Adams wants out. It’s not cavalier. It might actually work out this year with Wilson or if Rodgers comes back. And if it doesn’t work out this year, he’s under contract next year.
