As Zach Wilson gets prepared to take the field once again on Sunday, BT believes the former No. 2 overall pick has a chance to play himself onto next year’s Jets roster, even if it would be the wrong move by the organization.
“The GM is gonna be back, and he drafted him,” BT said. “If Zach goes on a little bit of a binge here - which I wouldn’t expect - but if he does, they’re gonna bring him back.
“If he plays well, you know that they will.”
Sal countered strongly that the Jets would never bring Wilson back after the disaster he has been for three seasons, and the organization deserves more credit to not make that kind of decision.
BT says the team’s moves in recent years, and not-so-recent years, shouldn’t give them the benefit of the doubt to not make a move like this.
“Why would we give them credit? They haven’t earned it,” BT said. “Credit for what? They butchered it this year. They can butcher it again.”
