BT rips 'absolutely disgraceful' Jets for keeping Robert Saleh with Bill Belichick, others available

Bill Belichick is out as Patriots head coach, leaving another big coaching name out there for the taking, as Mike Vrabel and potentially Jim Harbaugh are also available.

BT says it is flat-out “disgraceful” that the Jets will miss on all of them just to stick with Robert Saleh after another double-digit loss season.

“You look around the league, eight coaches are gone, which represents 25 percent of the league,” BT said. “You got Harbaugh, who is just about a done deal to come back to the NFL. You got Belichick…Vrabel…Pete Carroll, and the Jets are sitting here saying ‘We’re good with a guy who has shown no growth, has shown only a propensity to lose on the field, and too often lose control of the locker room.’”

Saleh’s job has been deemed safe by owner Woody Johnson, with many believing the decision being due to Aaron Rodgers’ looming return from Achilles surgery next season. Regardless, BT would have fired Saleh before all of these coaches became available, and he would certainly do it now.

“They’re holding on to Robert Saleh, and other teams are going out and changing things,” BT said. “It’s absolutely disgraceful.”
