Aaron Rodgers’ season is over, and now, C-Mac wonders if it means that the future Hall of Famer’s career is also done.
“This is not an easy injury to come back from,” C-Mac said. “It is very possible that Aaron Rodgers has played his last football.
“This is a guy who said himself that he went into the dark for a week thinking that he was done with football this offseason. He was rejuvenated by the Jets and said this was more than a one-year thing. That’s fine when things go great. It’s another if he’s looking at a very difficult rehab on a very difficult injury that’s tough to recover from and be yourself again.”
Rodgers, almost 40 years old, could decide the road back from major surgery is too daunting to overcome at his age, and settle for being a first ballot Hall of Famer. Or, he could decide that he doesn’t want to go out on a cart leaving MetLife Stadium, and make his way back. But C-Mac says there is a good chance that the reality becomes the former.
“That’s a very difficult thing. I think there’s a very good chance we have seen the last of Aaron Rodgers on a football field,” C-Mac said. “That sucks.”
