BT & Sal: Can Robert Saleh be trusted to have Jets ready for Giants coming off bye week?

The Jets entered the bye week with loads of momentum, winners of two straight, including a win over the previously undefeated Eagles before their weekend off.

Now, as Gang Green gets ready to take on the struggling Giants, Sal isn’t sure Robert Saleh could be trusted to have his team ready to go after being idle last weekend.

“Do you trust him to take advantage of all that the bye week has to offer? I don’t,” Sal said. “It’s part of the reason why I’m picking the Giants.

“I like Saleh. I think he’s done some good things keeping this team together. I think he’s a motivator. X’s and O’s, coming off a bye week, offense to me is a big deal, and he’s obviously not running that. Do you trust him?”

BT’s answer essentially explained that he trusts Saleh to do enough not to lose the game for the Jets, but not enough to be responsible for a win, much like Zach Wilson at quarterback.

“Do I trust him to elevate? No. Do I trust him to stifle the momentum? No,” BT said. “The Jets team that has been slowly growing, trending, I believe he’ll find a way to get that team to come out of the tunnel on Sunday.

“I do think his messaging will be well-received…they’ll be ready to go.”
