The 21-day practice window for Aaron Rodgers, and Evan could not be more pumped up.
“Guess who’s back? Guess who is throwing footballs to his teammates on the practice field?” Evan said. “I have to admit, I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about it. I’m damn excited.”
Evan understands there is still a long way to go for Rodgers to play a game for the Jets, but the fact that this landmark has been crossed is a reason for excitement.
“Everything in life is a process,” Evan said. “Aaron Rodgers beginning to practice with his teammates is part of a process that ends with him playing football for the New York Jets this season, and I want to see it happen.”
Evan didn’t care for Tiki and Morash raining on his parade, as they each mentioned that Rodgers could easily be ruled out for the rest of the season once the window closes. But Evan isn’t letting him get them down. His takeaway from Tuesday’s news is that he is one step closer to finally getting to watch Rodgers play football for the Jets, which was ripped from him after just four snaps in Week 1.
“There are a lot of reasons why I’m excited and want to see Aaron Rodgers play football for the New York Jets,” Evan said. “I want to see him playing football in a Jets uniform in games that count. Let’s just start there.
“Maybe the most improbable comeback in the history of sports is on its way with the return of Aaron Rodgers.”
