Gio begs Jets to not sign David Bakhtiari, regardless of Aaron Rodgers preference: 'It's gotta stop'

As the Jets make additions to the offensive line, many wonder if former Aaron Rodgers teammate David Bakhtiari is the next move to protect the quarterback who lasted just four snaps last season.

Gio is begging the Jets to not make that move, even if Rodgers is clamoring for the team to do so.

“He is always hurt,” Gio said. “This guy is at the point in his career where he’s got a million injuries…if you want to show me that Aaron Rodgers isn’t running the entire show, and Joe Douglas can work autonomously as the general manager, then don’t sign David Bakhtiari.”

Plenty of Rodgers’ former teammates joined the fold last offseason, and few worked out at all. Gio is convinced Bakhtiari would follow that trend, and says the Jets need to put their foot down regardless of Rodgers’ preference.

“I’m sorry, it’s gotta stop,” Gio said. “From Tim Boyle to Randall Cobb, who couldn’t run anymore, David Bakhtiari is going to come here and get hurt and miss 10 games.”
