Mecole Hardman blasted the Jets while appearing on The Pivot Podcast, and both Boomer and Gio believed that it felt like cheap shots toward his former team.
“You go from Rob Saleh and Zach Wilson to Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. I mean, come on,” Boomer said. “You go from maybe the worst situation in the NFL, to the absolute, 100 percent, most stabilized, best situation in the NFL.”
Gio also saw it as a weak move from the former Jets wide receiver, who he believes feels more compelled to trash others now that he has the luxury of being the man to have caught the game-winning touchdown on the biggest stage in sports.
“It’s really easy for Mecole Hardman right now to just trash the Jets, especially after catching the game-winning touchdown in the Super Bowl,” Gio said. “We know the Jets were a mess, but this is a low hanging fruit situation. You can’t defend the Jets because of what happened last year…but just take the high road, Mecole. Do you have to crap on the Jets on a podcast?
“He was with these guys, and he’s basically trashing his other teammates saying he was better than everyone on the team except for Garrett Wilson.”
