Gio would take Mike Vrabel over Robert Saleh as Jets head coach '110 percent of the time'

The Titans fired head coach Mike Vrabel on Tuesday, and Gio was among those surprised by the move from Tennessee, which has done an awful job giving Vrabel a competitive roster since inexplicably trading away star wide receiver A.J. Brown.

As one quality head coach is shown the door, Gio can’t get over how Vrabel is now out of a job while Robert Saleh’s job is safe despite no results since taking over as head coach.

Actually, Gio knows exactly why that is the case. He just doesn’t agree with it.

“I know Robert Saleh isn’t going anywhere, but I would rather have Mike Vrabel as the Jets head coach. A hundred percent of the time,” Gio said. “But they’ll never do something like that, because Aaron Rodgers wants to play for Robert Saleh. But, for crying out loud.

“Mike Vrabel would come in and be the man. That’s why I don’t think Aaron Rodgers would want Mike Vrabel as the head coach…Robert Saleh is like Aaron Rodgers’ assistant. He’s like his gopher.”
