The fear was the worst, and that is the case for Jets running back Breece Hall – but also for Alijah Vera-Tucker, as head coach Robert Saleh confirmed that both will be out for the remainder of the season.

It was reported earlier Monday that Hall suffered a torn ACL, as well as meniscus damage, in the Jets’ win in Denver Sunday, and Saleh confirmed that – but also said at the top of his press conference that Vera-Tucker suffered a triceps injury that will require surgery and end his season as well.

Hall was injured on this first-down run with 3:37 left as the Jets began their final drive of the first half:

He was unable to put weight on his leg and was placed on a cart after buckling on the sidelines, and in his postgame press conference, head coach Robert Saleh sad “the initial diagnosis doesn’t look good, but we’ll see tomorrow,” and confirmed the fear was an ACL injury.

Hall had four carries for 72 yards and a touchdown (on a 62-yard run) in the Jets’ 16-9 win over Denver, and the rookie second-round pick finishes his rookie year with 463 yards and four touchdowns on the ground and 19 catches for 218 yards and another score receiving.

Vera-Tucker, the Jets’ second first-round pick in 2021, had been an anchor on the offensive line, playing right guard and both tackle spots this year as the Jets’ front was banged up, but he left Sunday’s game in the first half after just 16 snaps with what was described as an elbow injury at the time.

With Hall out, Michael Carter will take over as the lead back, with Ty Johnson mixing in, and the Jets also have rookie Bam Knight on the practice squad.

Cedric Ogbuehi, who replaced AVT at right tackle Sunday, will take over for the near future, as the Jets now have four tackles on IR; George Fant is eligible to return this week, but Saleh said that the team is not sure how soon he will be activated.
