C-Mac: Jets have talent to be as good as any in franchise history

The Jets addressed yet another key position of need with a one-year deal, signing wide receiver Mike Williams on Tuesday.

The move comes after Gang Green took care of another gaping hole in its roster by signing All-Pro tackle Tyron Smith on Friday.

For C-Mac, Joe Douglas and company have assembled one of the best roster in Jets history, and that is even before picking in the top 10 in the upcoming draft.

“They’ve added three solid, and one All-Pro, all-time offensive tackle,” C-Mac said. “They’ve revamped that offensive line. They have that secondary passing option now…you know you have the run game with [Breece] Hall, and those two wide receivers with Aaron Rodgers?

“They have completely revamped this team.”

The hype turned into disappointment last season, but now that the Jets have shored up the offensive line in front of Aaron Rodgers, the receiving core around him, and his backup with the addition of Tyrod Taylor, C-Mac sees the 2024 Jets as one that could be an all-timer in comparison to the franchise’s history.

“Honestly, on paper right now, with the 10th pick still available…this team has the chance to be as talented as any Jets team I’ve ever seen,” C-Mac said. “And quite honestly, as good as any Jets team ever.”
