The trade deadline is coming up fast, and with just one more game remaining before that deadline, BT says he isn’t interested in the Jets making a trade for a quarterback.
Instead, he’d rather ride the rest of the season out with Zach Wilson, even if there is some concern by Jets fans that Wilson is what could hold Gang Green back from ending their painfully long playoff drought.
“I'm riding and dying with this kid,” BT said. “I’m taking him to the finish line. Not interested. Bye week's already gone the chance to have that player…I’m riding and dying.”
BT understands the circumstances, but he has maintained his belief in Wilson’s ability to grow, and has seen an improvement in recent weeks, so the best course of action for the Jets is so see what they have in the former No. 2 overall pick in a large sample size.
“The Jets are juggling competing for a Wild Card spot, possibly more based on the circumstances,” BT said. “But they're also finally getting the answer on Zach. I want the answer.
“I'm not doing this again next year. That's it. Whether the answer is good, the answer is bad, I need the answer.”
