C-Mac: Jets don't need to make offensive line top offseason priority

The Jets are once again drafting in the top 10, and many believe the offensive line is the top priority.

C-Mac says it doesn’t have to be, and if an elite, NFL-ready lineman isn’t there when they are on the clock, they shouldn’t hesitate to pivot.

“Do the Jets absolutely need to draft an offensive lineman 10th overall? No,” C-Mac said. “If there is a top wide receiver available at the top of their board, and the tackles from Penn State and Notre Dame are off the board…draft the wide receiver.

“If the pass-catching tight end from Georgia, [Brock] Bowers, is available…and they have designs for him being impactful in the offense, I have no problem with that. I would certainly go offense…but it doesn’t have to be a tackle. It doesn’t have to be an offensive lineman. There are other ways to go about it.”

C-Mac believes the Jets can bolster the line elsewhere, and is sick of hearing that Aaron Rodgers’ injury is confirmation that the team needs to go all in on an offensive lineman in the draft.

“I hate the narrative that he was hurt as a result of a bad offensive line,” C-Mac said. “I’m just so tired of that narrative.”
