Zach Wilson was thrown into the fire in his rookie season with the Jets, and having just turned 23 years old last week, there has already been a lot of growing necessary to take on the starting quarterback role in New York.

Wilson joined Boomer and Gio at Jets training camp on Tuesday and talked about adjusting to the big market of the Big Apple, but more importantly, adjusting to the speed of the NFL game.

“It was crazy, the ups and downs, but I think it’s kind of expected,” Wilson said. “I think the exciting part is now we look forward to a new year and the new pieces we have, and for me, the steps that I’ve taken.

“It was really just understanding what’s the most efficient way to prep and play within this offense…I kind of felt like coming into the NFL, I had to know everything…when you really don’t need to, as long as you understand your reads.”
