In the battle between former Jet and former Commander…the green flies high.

Le’Veon Bell and Adrian Peterson slogged their way through four rounds of their exhibition boxing match on Saturday night in Los Angeles, the headline bout (at least in names) in the “Social Gloves: No More Talk” card at Banc of California Stadium.

Then came the fifth, when Bell nailed AP with a hard right hand on the chin which knocked Peterson down, and when Adrian was woozy getting back up, the referee called the fight as a TKO win for Bell 30 seconds into Round 5.

"I appreciate everybody's love and support, for real," Bell said after the fight. "That's really what kept me going. Honestly, all the hate, that motivates me."

Bell had also knocked AP down earlier in the fight, although DraftKings unofficially had the fight tied at 38-38 going into Round 5.

The 30-year-old Bell also reiterated he plans to continue a boxing career instead of trying for an NFL return, meaning his final gridiron action was eight games last season between Baltimore and Tampa Bay.

AP, who is now 37, has not officially retired, but did not sign this past offseason after playing four games with Tennessee and Seattle and finishing 2021 with 14,918 career yards, fifth all-time in the NFL.
