UPDATE 2: Rodgers says upcoming NFL Draft will have no impact on his decision(s) so, it doesn't sound like we'll be getting any decision soon.

UPDATE: Rodgers said he has told the Steelers that if they need to move on they can that that “there’s been no deadline” on deciding whether to sign or not.

He added that he’s still talking to Mike Tomlin but there is no deadline.

He also talked about his trip to Pittsburgh, which he didn’t want getting out.

“Tried to do that as quietly as possible,” said Rodgers on his visit to Pittsburgh.

Rodgers said he didn’t fly into Pittsburgh International Airport and rented a Chevy Malibu to drive to the Steelers’ South Side facility.

“That was fun to kind of sneak in, sneak out.

“He’s more than I even thought he is from a far,” Rodgers said about head coach Mike Tomlin.

He also had high praise for offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and quaterbacks coach Tom Arth.

Original Story:

Aaron Rodgers called nearly all of the reports and speculation about him since free agency began “bulls***” on The Pat McAfee Show Thursday.

Here’s what we've learned, so far:

Rodgers said he would play for $10 million and that multi-year deals were not a discussion point.

“Retirement could be a possibility," he told McAfee.

He hasn’t been stringing anyone or any team along and off field issues have required his attention, (and appears to continue to do so.)

“I have off the field stuff going on that requires my attention,” said Rodgers.

“I had a lot of great conversations with a lot of teams,” said Rodgers.

Rodgers finished 24th in NFL quarterback rating last year, behind Fields and Russell Wilson, but he was seventh in touchdown passes.

In 2020 and 2021 with Green Bay, Rodgers led the NFL in quarterback rating and won a combined 26 games. In ’20 he completed 70.7% of his passes leading the league in that stat and touchdown passes, 48.
