Sal doesn't want to hear from Aaron Rodgers anymore, says Jets fans shouldn't either

Aaron Rodgers caught the attention of Jets fans while on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, calling out current players for their sideline spats, former players for criticizing Zach Wilson, and fans for contributing to the negativity.

BT found it to be a refreshing change of pace from Robert Saleh’s “all is well” mentality that he expresses publicly, but Sal is already fed up with hearing from Rodgers, who can no longer contribute anything on the field.

“I don’t want it coming from him,” Sal said. “This is not the Aaron Rodgers show anymore, nor should it be. Why is Rodgers still doing these interviews with Pat McAfee? What does Rodgers have to say? He can’t play. He wasn’t brought here to be a superstar as far as bringing attention off the field. He was brought here to throw the football and be the quarterback. He cannot do that this year.

“While I don’t disagree with the words he said, I’d rather it come from someone in the building. Aaron Rodgers with the Jets this year is irrelevant.”

Sal doesn’t want to hear from Rodgers anymore, and believes it would be best for the Jets if he wasn’t hear from again.

“I’m over it. He’s not here…he is the prime example of why this team is never going to have success,” Sal said. “They’re gonna love what Rodgers says, everybody’s gonna back him, they’re gonna wait until he comes back next year, he’s still gonna be calling the shots, and he’s gonna come back as a 40-year-old quarterback coming off a year where he hasn’t thrown a football that matters…if I’m a Jets fan, I want Aaron Rodgers to go away. Whether what he said was right or wrong, I don’t want to hear it from him anymore. I think it undermines Saleh and the staff, and it makes the Jets organization look even more chaotic.

“The worst thing for this team is going to be relying on Rodgers. Whether it’s those kids in the locker room looking up to him and waiting for him to come back, which is undermining the head coach…and they’re gonna be relying on him next year. It’s going to be a disaster again, just like it was this year. This was your shot, it didn’t work…you need to move on, but it’s all about Aaron Rodgers still.”
