Evan has seen enough, and he wants to see a change at quarterback on Sunday for the Jets.
“Trevor Siemian needs a week or two to get ready and understand the playbook. Tim Boyle plays Sunday night against the Chiefs. Period,” Evan said. “I’m done watching Zach Wilson. We cannot watch him play football anymore.”
Tiki countered with the fact that Boyle has gotten nearly no reps with the starting offense, and has little NFL experience. But at this point, Evan is convinced that anything will be an improvement over Wilson, and Robert Saleh has the responsibility to give the Jets the best chance to win.
“Zach Wilson is 8-16 in his NFL career, and thrown more interceptions than touchdowns,” Evan said. “He is terrible. He does not give the Jets any chance to win. While I’m not gonna sit here and talk about the greatness of Tim Boyle, I can’t say that. What I can say is, he’s not Zach Wilson.”
