Think the Jets are feeling themselves these days, and are ready to no longer be a “little brother” to the team whose name was on their shared stadium for many years?

Well, it starts from the top, so it’s hard to question morale in the organization when team owner and chairman Woody Johnson Tweets out something like this:

Yes, indeed, that is a highlight reel of big plays made by the Jets from their joint practices with the Giants so far this week, which are leading up to the two meeting in their preseason finale at 1 p.m. Sunday (coverage begins at noon on WFAN!) just two weeks before the 2022 schedule begins for real.

It may only be practice, but it is also surely great for Gang Green fans to see No. 17 and No. 25 getting some dap…because for those who aren’t familiar, the former is wide receiver Garrett Wilson, the No. 10 overall pick and second of three Gang Green first-rounders, and the latter is Ty Johnson, perhaps the “forgotten” man in a running backs room that includes 2021 standout Michael Carter, 2022 second-rounder Breece Hall, and veteran Tevin Coleman.
