TikTok goes the clock until 5 p.m. next Friday, when a new segment debuts on Carton & Roberts!
Tell your friends, because the rumors are true: starting Friday, Feb. 5, TikTok superstar Josh Richards will join Craig and Evan for 20 minutes every Friday at 5 p.m., as first reported by The New York Post.
As Craiggy, who turns 52 this weekend, told The Post of Richards, who turns 19 on Monday: “He’s going to walk us through his world, and we’re going to walk him through ours, and the combination is going to be entertaining. We’re just trying to extend the reach we all have collectively to newer and bigger audiences.”
Evan, who is 37, is about halfway between his new and newer partner in age, and told The Post his wife is a fan of Richards – but the real impetus for the partnership was the eldest Carton kids.
“I’ve known Josh for a while now. I have a daughter who is a sophomore in college and a son who is a freshman, and I am a very immature adult. So between my kids and myself, I would be foolish to not be aware of what’s going on,” Craig added. “There’s no such thing as traditional media anymore, so guys like Josh who created a name for himself is a natural extension of what we do.”
Richards has 24 million followers on TikTok and may gain more from Carton & Roberts’ audience…or the new TikTok account they’re going to start as part of the partnership.
“We’re all in the business of trying to entertain people. At times it will be self-deprecating,” Carton told The Post. “Life is hard for people. When they download us or put us on, we’re trying to put a smile on their faces.”
While Tommy is efforting to get that TikTok running, tune in to Carton & Roberts today at 2 p.m. to hear more about the news, and join in Craiggy’s birthday celebration!
