After a long break in between games, the Knicks will be back in action Saturday afternoon for game three against the Heat, and both Boomer and Gio are expecting a continued dogfight down in Miami, and for the rest of this series.

“I don’t expect this series to go the same way as the first series,” Gio said. “I just don’t see how either one of these teams are going to win two consecutive games in games three and four to make game five a clinching scenario. I think it’s going to be 2-2 heading back to The Garden for game five.”

If the Knicks want to make it a shorter series, Gio needs to see more out of the team’s Sixth Man of the Year finalist who has disappeared offensively for the vast majority of this postseason.

“I feel great about the Knicks’ depth. I feel good about just about everybody,” Gio said. “The one guy I would like to see more from is Immanuel Quickley…I feel like just one game he has looked like himself this postseason.”

Boomer is in full agreement that the series will continue to be a back and forth battle, and in all likelihood, it will set up an epic winner-take-all at The Garden.

“I feel like it’s gonna be a seven game series,” Boomer said. “It will be great. Madison Square Garden, game seven.”
