Boomer goes off on 'ridiculous' lack of foul calls for Jalen Brunson
Boomer is sick of watching Jalen Brunson get no foul calls, as the Knicks star has taken 72 field goal attempts over the last two games, yet has only attempted 14 free throws.
The no-call on Brunson's go-ahead layup in the closing seconds of Sunday's loss to the Thunder set Boomer off more than any other.
"Can we call an effing foul? It's ridiculous," Boomer said. "He gets run into as he's going up. You can't allow those kind of fouls to happen and not call it.
"Man, it's brutal. That guy plays his ass off."
Tom Thibodeau hasn't been shy in criticizing the lack of foul calls for Brunson this season, and Brunson himself doesn't hide his frustrations on the court (though he stays mainly quiet about it after games). Boomer says it's time Brunson starts getting the respect other NBA stars do when it comes to officials, as it now appears to be costing the Knicks important games.
