Boomer sounds off on 'unwatchable' Knicks, Tom Thibodeau's job security

The Knicks looked lifeless in a blowout loss to the Nets on Wednesday, and Boomer says it’s the kind of loss that should put Tom Thibodeau on notice.

“It was unwatchable,” Boomer said. “From a Knick perspective, it was unwatchable…for the Knicks, dare I say, it was lazy, no energy, it didn’t look like they wanted to play defense. They are so far away from even remotely contending for a championship. That’s what’s disheartening.

“The first half last night was just dead. It was a flat game. Totally dead…knowing Jim Dolan the way I know him…the Nets basically bitch-slapped the Knicks once again and Kyrie Irving isn’t even playing…I’m just telling you right now, if Tom Thibodeau wants to save his job or keep his job, the boys better wake up.”

Boomer also can’t believe what he’s seeing from Evan Fournier, who finished with just six points.

“Two years ago they signed Evan Fournier, thinking he was gonna be the guy to help with the 3-point shooting,” Boomer said. “Did he just forget how to play basketball?”
