The Knicks have reportedly swung a big trade with the Pistons, sending Quentin Grimes, Evan Fournier, Ryan Arcidiacono, Malachi Flynn, and two second-round picks for Alec Burks and Bojan Bogdanovich.
Reacting instantly to the deal, BT was a big fan of the move by Leon Rose and company, adding shooters to a team that needed more spacing and more reliable scoring off the bench.
“They got two shooters, and every big move they want to make this summer is still there based on the draft equity,” BT said. “Right now, I’m fine with what they did.
“This gives them the wiggle room to pounce during the summer…did we get better? The answer is yes. Leon Rose, atta boy. Nice job.”
Sal is not a fan of the Burks addition as the highlight of the trade deadline, and wanted to see more. But with Bogdanovich included in the deal, it makes it easier to swallow.
“I don’t like the idea of giving up Grimes for two guys that are gonna be role or bench players,” Sal said. “However, it wasn’t working here, he had no value at this current time, and Burks and Bogdanovich help the Knicks become significantly better now.”
