As the Knicks win streak reaches seven games, BT says the biggest story around Madison Square Garden isn’t whether Jalen Brunson is a legit superstar, or if Julius Randle is a legit No. 2 on a championship team.
“The biggest story is - and I can’t believe I’m saying this - the New York Knicks are the gold standard and the absolutely best-run franchise in this city. Period,” BT said. “The New York Knicks, as they dragged us through sheer hell…are now the city’s best-run team. Including everybody. The best.”
BT credits the Yankees for being a consistent playoff team that is typically a lock for a winning record over the last three decades, but right now, the Knicks seem to be in better shape than any other team in the Big Apple.
“Nobody is doing a better job than Leon Rose,” BT said. “I know you don’t hear from him, and that bothers some people…but aside from that, the Knicks don’t have a single bad contract. Not one. They’ve got great draft equity, which enables them to do whatever they want. There is no turmoil, no drama. Just wins.
“Leon Rose might go down as one of the all-time great hires in this city. The Knicks were dead!”
