Derrick Rose’s status for the rest of the season is unknown, but the veteran point guard doesn’t appear to be giving up on making a comeback before the offseason.

Posting a video dated Feb. 25, the day he underwent a minor procedure to address a skin infection that developed where he underwent ankle surgery in December, Rose seemed to indicate that he was by no means throwing in the towel on the season, even as it looks more and more like the Knicks won’t be playing any playoff basketball.

“The goal is to come back stronger, come back with more knowledge, more discipline, more determination, more willpower, everything.’’ Rose said in the video, with a fresh bandage on that surgically-repaired abnkle. “Because motherf--ker’s think it’s sweet. ‘Ah man you’re having surgery again. You probably think about calling it a wrap.’ Ha ha, jokes on you.”

Rose, arguably the Knicks’ most valuable player since they traded for him last season, was supposed to make his anticipated return last weekend, but the cleanup procedure sidelined him again, and he should be reevaluated sometime next week. But Rose, who has undergone multiple surgeries already in his career, still plans to come back stronger and continue his second wind in New York, where he had once again became an impact player before the ankle surgery.

“This ain’t s--t,” Rose said with a laugh.
