Gio appreciates the fire within Julius Randle, and simply wants to see the Knicks All-Star channel his emotion towards the game, and not towards the officials or his own teammates.
But what Gio can’t get past is the lack of public accountability from the team.
“Come out and just be like, ‘That can’t happen.’ What’s so bad about saying that?” Gio said.
“This guy isn’t LeBron. They don’t have to protect him in that way.”
If Gio is waiting for any kind of condemnation from Tom Thibodeau and the Knicks, Boomer says it’s not coming, because the team has shown that it won’t speak out on it whenever it has happened in the past, and they’re not changing that now.
“They haven’t said it, they won’t say it, and it’s gonna continue to happen,” Boomer said.
