Get ready to see a lot of Frank Ntilikina on Thursday night.
The Knicks announced Thursday afternoon that rookie Immanuel Quickley has been ruled out of Thursday night’s matchup with the Magic due to a sore left ankle, one he was nursing throughout New York’s loss to the 76ers on Tuesday.
In addition to Quickley’s absence, fellow point guard Derrick Rose is still out due to COVID-19 protocols, while Elfrid Payton remains out with a strained right hamstring.
Thursday will be the seventh straight game that Derrick Rose has missed, leaving Ntilikina as the team’s only fully healthy point guard. Ntilikina has been in an offensive swoon of late, going scoreless in his last four games. New York will need more from him on Thursday if it wants to get back in the win column after losing two in a row and three of its last four.
