Joel Embiid finished with 37 points at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, and got to the free throw line a ridiculous 27 times in the victory over the Knicks.
That many trips to the charity stripe offered MSG fans plenty of opportunity to heckle the Philadelphia superstar, but instead, Embiid heard chants of "MVP" as he prepared for his many free throws.
After the game, James Harden, who logged a triple-double himself, said he could hear the large contingent of Sixers fans throughout the game.
"It felt like we were in Philly," Harden said.
It's the continuation of a delating trend for the Knicks, who are just 13-19 at home this season. Before the All-Star break, a large group of Nets fans made their presence known as Brooklyn erased a 28-point deficit, and Kevin Durant took to Twitter to troll Knicks fans afterward, hinting that it sounded like the game was actually played in the Barclays Center.
In fairness to Knicks fans, there hasn't been all that much to cheer about, as New York has dropped 15 of its last 18 games.
