Julius Randle's monster night helps make Knicks history with Jalen Brunson

Julius Randle came back from his second All-Star appearance like a man on a mission, pouring in a season-high 46 points in a win over the Wizards on Friday night.

Randle shot 55.2 percent from the floor, 7-for-14 from downtown, and hit all seven free throws to lead New York to a fourth straight win, and a season-high seven games over .500.

For a Knicks team that is back to full strength with Mitchell Robinson making his return on Friday, the engine of the surging squad has been Randle and Jalen Brunson, who have now made franchise history thanks to Randle's big night in Washington.

Per ESPN Stats & Info, Randle and Brunson are now the first pair of teammates in Knicks history to each have three 40-point games in the same season, with Randle logging his third 40-point night on Friday. He dropped 42 on the Pistons on Jan. 15, and 41 on the Spurs on Dec. 29.

The Knicks have two bonafide scorers in their starting lineup, and are looking like a team that could move as high as fifth in the Eastern Conference, especially if Randle and Brunson continue to perform at this level.
