The Knicks won their first playoff game in eight years on Wednesday night, so fans responded by holding an impromptu ticker tape parade.

Fans that witnessed New York’s 101-92 win over the Hawks in person quickly flocked outside MSG to keep the celebration going, packing Seventh Avenue and beyond, while rubbing in the face of any unlucky Hawks fan passing through.

The Knicks trailed by 13 at the half before surging back in the third quarter and continuing their resurgence in the second half. Julius Randle, after carrying over his struggles from game one into the first half of game two, came alive to score 13 points in the second half to help pace the comeback.

Behind Randle, New York won its first playoff game since game five of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Pacers in 2013, also at the Garden. Most of the 15 thousand fans inside MSG on Wednesday stuck around afterward to take part in the festivities before the team heads to Atlanta for game three.
