Jalen Brunson has been a boon for the Knicks on offense since arriving in the offseason, but on Friday night, he labored through what was likely his worst performance since signing with New York.
The point guard shot a miserable 2-for-13 in a lopsided loss to the Warriors, and finished just 1-for-5 from beyond the arc. Overall, he finished with 13 points and was a -5. After the game, he didn't sugarcoat what he thought of his play.
"I played terrible," Brunson said, via Fred Katz of The Athletic. "That's the focal point of it. I played terrible."
When asked what part of his game was "terrible," Brunson replied, "everything."
Brunson was far from the only Knick who struggled shooting on Friday. The team as a whole was just 34.5 percent from the field and 26.5 percent from downtown.
