The Knicks let the Trail Blazers set all kinds of career highs in Friday’s overtime loss at Madison Square Garden.
Infamously known for allowing middling players to have career nights against them in recent years (or even decades), New York allowed Josh Hart to set a career-high with 19 rebounds, allowed Anfernee Simons to score a season-high 38 points, and allowed Jerami Grant to pour in a career-high 44 points, while sinking 21 of 28 free throw attempts, both marks equaling the most in Portland’s franchise history.

All of those records, as reported by Trail Blazers PR, came in a Portland victory without Damian Lillard.
It was a painfully familiar sight for the Knicks, watching an opponent enjoy a career night at their expense.
