Quentin Grimes, just days after breaking out with a career game for the Knicks, has entered the NBA’s COVID-19 protocols, the team announced Tuesday morning.

The rookie guard, who knocked down a franchise record seven 3-pointers in Sunday’s loss to the Bucks, joins RJ Barrett and Obi Toppin in the league’s health and safety protocols.

The 25th overall pick in this year’s draft figured to have a bigger role again in Tuesday night’s game against the Warriors with Barrett and Toppin out, but instead, he will have to be sidelined for the next 10 days unless he can register two negative PCR test results within 24 hours of each other.

Grimes has appeared in 14 games this season, averaging 3.6 points in 8.5 minutes per game, shooting 45 percent from the floor and 47 percent from downtown.

On the bright side for the Knicks, Alec Burks is expected to make his return on Tuesday after missing Sunday’s game due to the birth of his child.
