Less than 24 hours after being assigned to the G League, second-round pick Miles McBride is on his way back to the Knicks.
The team announced Tuesday morning that McBride had been recalled, just hours after the 36th overall pick dropped 28 points for the Westchester Knicks, including a highlight-reel dunk that temporarily took over Knicks Twitter.
The move by the Knicks could suggest that McBride will start to see more NBA playing time, especially after head coach Tom Thibodeau announced that starting point guard Kemba Walker has been removed from the team's rotation altogether. With Alec Burks being named the new starting point guard and Derrick Rose still questionable after missing three games with an ankle injury, the 21-year-old McBride could see some more action as early as Tuesday night in Brooklyn against the Nets.
McBride, drafted out of West Virginia, was highly coveted by Thibodeau before the draft, but has seen just six games of action so far this season.
