It appears that the Knicks are drawing closer to trading Cam Reddish, as it has become clear that the former top-10 pick does not have a place in Tom Thibodeau’s rotation.
But could trading Reddish result in a former Thibodeau favorite returning to New York?

According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Mavericks are among the teams in on Reddish, and the Knicks are “angling” to get Reggie Bullock in a return package.
Bullock, 31, is having a down year with Dallas, shooting just 33.8 percent from downtown while averaging just 5.8 points per game in 29.3 minutes.
His 3-point shot has been trending downward since his season with Thibodeau and the Knicks during the 2020-21 campaign, when he shot 41 percent from beyond the arc. Still, Thibodeau always coveted Bullock’s defense, and perhaps the Knicks believe a return to New York would help Bullock rediscover his stroke.
Bullock is making just over $10 million this season, and carries a team option after this season.
As for Reddish, Stein reports that the Knicks are seeking “second-round draft compensation,” and that the Lakers and Bucks are among the other teams interested, as New York has reportedly “redoubled” its efforts to trade Reddish.
