Jalen Brunson seemed to avoid a disastrous injury on Sunday, as the Knicks have listed him as questionable for Tuesday's game with a knee contusion.
But Morash says Brunson's toughness could be called into question given how the star point guard reacted to the injury, especially if it turns out to just be a contusion.
"We're all happy about Jalen Brunson, but that's Paul Pierce wheelchair stuff if it's just a knee contusion. I am serious," Morash said. "As a tough-as-nails NBA player, we all feared the worst because of his reaction."
Brunson immediately went down after his knee seemed to give out while airborne, but camera angles seemed to show that he banged knees, which could have caused Brunson's leg to go numb as a result.
But Morash stood by his claim that Brunson's reaction didn't hold up to the "dudes" and "dogs" label of these Knicks.
"When you are grabbing your knee and everyone thinks it's an ACL, that is Paul Pierce going out on the wheelchair," Morash said. "That was a lot of theatrics for me."
