Evan calls out Mets fans already in 'Panic City': 'Like we're watching baseball for the first time'

Evan says too many New York sports fans travel to "Panic City" too quickly, and there seems to be a mass migration there by Mets fans after just four games.

Sure, things look bad right now, but Evan says the panic has gotten to be way too much this early into the season.

"As disgusted as I am, as much as I did not enjoy scoring every second of a tooth extraction known as the Mets losing 5-0 in 10 innings…I have not arrived yet to Panic City," Evan said. "I'm not happy. I'm not in the greatest mood…but I ain't there yet.

"They're off to an abysmal start, and the timing of it stinks…I'm not gonna sugarcoat the crap I watched the first four games of the season. I'm simply reminding you and everyone else who loves to panic over every little thing that we're four games into the season."

Evan has already heard some fans talking about trading Pete Alonso or even Edwin Diaz to rebuild for the future, and to have that reaction after four losses is not one Evan can get behind.

"That is insanity," Evan said. "It's like we're watching baseball for the first time. It's like as New Yorkers, we never watched baseball ever in our lives, and now we're determining this team sucks after four games!"
