The Mets are sending nine players, including four of their MLB.com Top 30 prospects, to the Arizona Fall League, which runs October 3 through November 12 this year.

Representing the Amazins as part of the Peoria Javelinas are: RHPs Grant Hartwig, Troy Miller, Franklin Sanchez, Christian Scott, and Mike Vasil; outfielders Stanley Consuegra and Brandon McIlwain; infielder Luke Ritter, and shortstop Kevin Kendall.

Hartwig, the No. 22 prospect in the system, signed with the Mets as an undrafted free agent last summer, and has risen into the Top 30. He has pitched at three levels this season, going 4-2 with a 1.85 ERA and 13 saves between Low-A St. Lucie, High-A Brooklyn, and Double-A Binghamton. In 37 total games, he has struck out 79 in 53 2/3 innings.

Miller was acquired last June from Toronto in the deal that sent Jacob Barnes to the Blue Jays, but he made just two starts at Binghamton last summer before needing Tommy John surgery, which has kept him out the entire 2022 season so far as well.

Sanchez is a former international free agent who made his stateside debut last year. He split 2022 between St. Lucie and Brooklyn, going 2-2 with a 3.79 ERA in 17 games (seven starts) and striking out 42 in 35 2/3 innings.

Scott, the Mets’ fifth-round pick last year, is the No. 28 prospect in the system. He was 3-3 with a 4.45 ERA between St. Lucie and Brooklyn this season, making nine starts and nine relief appearances, and struck out 77 in 58 2/3 innings.

Vasil, the No. 11 prospect in the system, was the Mets’ eighth-round pick last year. He made 18 appearances (17 starts) between the FCL, Low-A, and High-A this year, going 4-2 with a 4.16 ERA and 85 strikeouts in 71 1/3 innings.

Consuegra, 21, is the No. 23 prospect in the system, and broke out this season after missing two full seasons in 2019-20 and playing just 20 rookie-level games in 2021. The Dominican native played 122 games between St. Lucie and Brooklyn, slashing .245/.317/.408 with 13 homers and 59 RBI.

McIlwain was a 26th-round pick in 2019 and split this year between Brooklyn and Binghamton, slashing .255/.347/.394 with seven homers, 33 RBI, and 15 steals.

Ritter, a seventh-round pick in 2019, split 2022 between Binghamton and Triple-A Syracuse, hitting .206/.315/.366 with 15 homers and 61 RBI in 123 games. He has been a utility player this year, spending time at first, second, and third bases at both levels.

Kendall, a seventh-round pick last year, played just three games this year at St. Lucie due to injury. He has played 34 career games, all at Low-A, and slashed .312/.401/.426.

The Mets will also see two familiar faces in competition as well: Athletics LHP J.T. Ginn, who was dealt to Oakland in the Chris Bassitt deal, and Rangers RHP Kumar Rocker, who was selected 10th overall in 2021 but did not sign.
