Friday's Mets-Rockies game snowed out, teams to play doubleheader on Saturday

Another day, another day off for the Mets.

Tonight's Mets-Rockies game in Colorado has been postponed due to weather, and will be made up Saturday as part of a doubleheader starting at 5:10 p.m. ET.

Unlike Thursday's home game against Philly, though, this game was snowed out, with a snowfall in the Denver area overnight Thursday into Friday (and more snowfall forecast in the area tonight) forcing the seventh postponement of the season for the Amazins and second straight day weather has prevented them from playing.

There was at least some levity in the situation, however, as the Mets' social media team took a dig at the winter weather while showing a picture of snowed-over Coors Field less than an hour before the postponement was announced:

The Mets are headed to Chicago after leaving Colorado this weekend, so if you find any sportsbooks willing to take action on the first-ever high-wind delay in MLB, that might be your chance.
