Gio still doesn't believe much in the 2024 Mets, but he says the team's comeback win over the Braves on Monday night showed him something.

"It was incredible," Gio said. "Down in Atlanta, a place where they are absolutely kicked around every time they go in. this was a great win for them. Hopefully it's not a distant memory."

Unfortunately, Gio believes it won't be much more than a memory, but at the very least, it shows that this team won't mail it in when things get rough, even if they aren't going to be very good this season.

"We always say 'Is this gonna be the catalyst that gets them going? Is this gonna be the day we look back on?' No, I don't think so," BT said. "But they did something I didn't think they were capable of, because I believe they are more of a bad team than a good team. When a bad team is down 4-0 in a house of horrors for them against a team that is, on paper, much better than they are, those teams die. And the Mets didn't. You have to give them credit for that."
