BT not impressed with Francisco Lindor's recent production: 'He's supposed to do this'

Francisco Lindor is on a four-game winning streak, driving in seven runs in that span, providing hope that he is finding his way out of a slump that began around the time he slammed his finger in a hotel room door.

What is BT's reaction to Lindor's recent rise in production? It's about time!

"He should," BT said during Monday's show. "He's getting $330 million to do something!"

Tierney says Lindor is now on the rise of what has become a steady roller coaster of highs and lows that Lindor has shown since signing a record contract extension before the start of last season.

"All aboard, it's time for the biweekly Lindor hype! Every couple of weeks we go up with Lindor and down with Lindor," Tierney said. "We go back up, we go back down."

Given the contract Lindor signed following four All-Star seasons with Cleveland, Tierney is expecting more consistent production from the shortstop, who should be held to a higher standard.

"Here we are, I would have to say to be fair…we're splitting hairs as to whether or not thus far is the fifth best player in New York so far, excluding pitchers," Tierney said. "I don't know if you get on the air and just blare the trumpets for that. He's supposed to do this. He's supposed to be better.

"When you bat third and guys are on base all night, you're supposed to have 120 RBI."
