Evan and Joe B are back together on the WFAN airwaves!
And they're already disagreeing about the Mets.
Talking about Jacob deGrom during Friday afternoon's show, Evan voiced how the Mets need to pay their ace in the offseason, but Joe had a different take: deGrom, for as dominant as he is when healthy, can't be trusted to stay healthy.
"Go help my team win a World Series, and let the chips fall where they may," Joe said.
"I would not [pay him], because I can't trust him. Who knows? He didn't pitch for a year. Who knows what he's gonna give me?"
So, what would he have Steve Cohen do with the money not spent on deGrom? Make a splash for who Joe considers the best player in the league "by far."
"I want Aaron Judge," Joe said. "Stevie Cohen, let's do it.
"Aaron Judge is the best player in baseball. If he doesn't win the MVP, he should be an investigation…Stevie, sell a couple paintings, sell a Van Gogh, sell a Da Vinci, whatever you gotta sell, and let's ante up the $500 million or whatever it's gonna be to get Judge."
Joe is coming in hot right out of the gate in his return to the FAN!
